Email Settings - All Clients

The following settings apply to all email clients connecting to UCLA Physics & Astronomy mail service.

*Please note that only fully qualified names and addresses should be used for user and server name settings as in jbruin@physics.ucla.edu or jbruin@astro.ucla.edu instead of just jbruin, and mail.physics.ucla.edu instead of just mail.

( Incoming ) IMAP Server settings:

Server Type	IMAP
Connection Security	SSL
Port	993
User Name	name@physics.ucla.edu	name@astro.ucla.edu
Password	Your Email Password

( Outgoing ) SMTP Server settings:

	Physics Account	Astronomy Account
SMTP Server	smtp.physics.ucla.edu	smtp.astro.ucla.edu
Security and Port	SSL with Port 465 or TLS with Port 587. If one option fails, please try the other.
User Name	name@physics.ucla.edu	name@astro.ucla.edu
Password	Your Email Password
Authentication	Required, Same as incoming server
